Shade studied architecture at the University for the Creative Arts in Canterbury and the Bartlett School of Architecture in London, where she pursued her interest in creating interactive architectural environments. Photographic skills developed before her architectural training have led to investigations into light and time, materials and structures.
She has gained experience working for award winning architectural practices, including Wilkinson Eyre Architects and SpaceLab. Her experience range from one-off residential projects for private clients to commercial interiors and high street retail developments.
Passionate about creating elegant and sustainable design for communities unable to access such architectural services, she has previously worked with Architecture for Humanity, UK.
