A Victorian terraced house in East Greenwich with a central staircase and a ground floor bathroom was remodeled to create an open plan living space. The central staircase was relocated to allow the structural modification necessary to create the open plan layout. Inclusion of sliding doors allow spatial flexibility between the more formal spaces and the less informal spaces at the back of the house.
Glazed folding doors at the back of the house allow views across the length of the ground floor whilst rooflights introduce natural light into the deep planned ground floor.
